Baby Lentil Plant
Lentils
Lentils are one of nature’s most resilient and nourishing crops, and we take pride in growing them with care and sustainability on our family farm. These small but mighty legumes thrive in our fields, fixing nitrogen in the soil and supporting healthy ecosystems. Once harvested, our lentils are transformed into delicious, wholesome products like our signature Lentil Crunchers, hearty soup mixes, and zesty Lemon Lentil Bars. From plant to plate, every step reflects our commitment to quality, nutrition, and flavor.

Baby chickpea Plant
Chickpea's
Chickpeas are a versatile, protein-rich legume that we proudly grow using sustainable farming practices that care for the land as much as the crop. These hardy plants flourish in our fields, helping to naturally enrich the soil while producing nutrient-dense beans packed with flavor. Once harvested, our chickpeas become the base for a range of delicious products. It’s farm-fresh goodness you can taste in every bite.

Yellow Pea's
At our farm, we proudly grow yellow peas—an incredibly versatile and sustainable crop that supports healthy soil and responsible farming practices. As nitrogen-fixers, yellow peas naturally enrich the land by returning nutrients to the soil, reducing the need for synthetic fertilizers and helping us steward the land for future generations. We're excited to be working on farm-to-table food products made from our yellow peas, bringing clean, nutrient-dense ingredients straight from our fields to your kitchen—stay tuned!

Wheat
We also grow wheat as an essential part of our crop rotation system, which helps improve soil health, manage pests naturally, and support long-term sustainability on our farm. While we don’t currently produce farm-to-table products from our wheat, it plays a vital role in maintaining the balance and productivity of our fields, working hand in hand with crops like yellow peas to keep our soil thriving season after season.

Mustard in full bloom
Mustard
Last year, we introduced mustard into our crop rotation, and we're excited about the potential benefits it brings to our soil and overall farm health. Mustard is known for its natural biofumigant properties, which can help suppress soil-borne pests and diseases, making it a valuable addition to our sustainable farming practices. As we continue to explore how mustard fits into our rotation, we're committed to learning how this hardy, soil-enhancing crop can further improve the resilience and productivity of our land.

About Our Family
Our Family Story: Real Food from Our Family to Yours:
We’re the Sikveland family—Rex, Kacie, and our four kids: Tristan, Beau, Chassie, and Maysen. Together, we’re building something bigger than a farm—we’re growing a movement toward real, healthy food that starts with real people and soil we care for every day.
Rex is a first-generation farmer who started with just 285 acres in 2001. That land was sandy and bare, with little topsoil. But we believed in possibility. By 2010, we began planting pulse crops like yellow peas to improve our soil—and what we saw was incredible: healthier soil, better wheat yields, and a more sustainable future. Since then, we’ve expanded into chickpeas, lentils, yellow peas, and other rotating crops like oats, mustard, and millet. We’re not afraid to try new things if it means working with the land, not against it.Farming isn’t just a job for us—it’s a family effort. Beau helps on the farm, Tristan is ranching sheep, and our girls, Chassie and Maysen, are growing up learning what it means to care for the land and feed others with integrity.
In 2020, when empty shelves reminded everyone just how fragile our food system can be, we knew we had to act. That’s when our dream of a farm-to-table business took root. We wanted to make it easier for people—especially in our own community—to access clean, nourishing food from a source they trust.
At 41 Grains, we believe real food should be simple, traceable, and full of flavor. That’s why we created our Lentil Crunchers—to give your family a snack that’s actually made from food you’d grow yourself. From our soil to your shelf—thanks for supporting real food, grown with purpose.
